Honoring the men of true bravery is an honor in it’s self. Men who give their all and men who give parts of the bodies and minds for their country. Some men who have been broken and now live on the streets of America. America is still a great country, regardless of how we feel about our government. The men and women who fight in Iraq have no choice but to believe in what they are fighting for, it keeps them alive. It makes me sick to see George Bush in the presences of brave men who are wounded and damage because of him. Men who are burned and men with their limbs gone. I can only imagine the pain these men have endured. The horror of war and the pain of their wounded bodies. These are the men that make America great. Not because of some magical cheesy hokey America that lives in our heads but because they have put their money where their mouth is. They came forward. They aren’t the smart ones who believe they didn’t have to step foreword. The smart ones who live off America’s bounty but refuse to become part of the war. They talk like patriots but they are cowards. I spent four years in the Army from 1965 to 1969. I know these men. I know what they are going through over in Iraq and Afghanistan and all places their Americans fight. I know these men because I was one of them. The great black wall of dead men and women in D.C. with names of heroes lined up for all of us to read. The men and women who lives were given because of bad politicians and bad politics. The truly brave men and women of America. In the silence of their graves they don’t hear the lies and the misinformation of Rush Limbaugh and the paid liars and assassins of the truth in America. People who keep the war and wars going as they take money like a traitors to their country. All the politicians with the fake bravery and fake bravado like Ruby Giuliani or Mitt Romney. The tired and used up bravery of a man like John McCain still shines through. It is amazing how the politicians try to steal from the brave and honorable when they don’t have to put themselves on the line. The only way we can truly honor these men and women is to bring them out of hell of George Bush’s oil war and bring them home to America. Truly support the troops, bring ’em home. Today is a day of honor for those who gave and those who are giving.
