I love it when the “deep” Religious Right starts up their “old Show Tunes” from the Past. The number one in the spot light is “He is Satan.” I’ve always loved that one. However it’s lost it’sflare after years and years of George Bush and Dick Cheney doing best to act like Satan with wonderful success. They have got it down to an art. You can’t tell them from the real thing. Cheney disappears now and again saying it’s his heart but I know that he his having those horns sanded down like Ron Pearlman in Hellboy. Ever notice those two shiney spot on each side of this head. The problem with “He is Satan.” is most people start out with it first. Everyone in the business knows that the wrong thing to do. You have to work your way up to “He is Satan.” It’s the grand finale with a lot of goose stepping and women in fish net stocking doing the Can Can. A new show tune that just hit the Hit Parade of Show Tunes is “He’s a faggot.” Not so much used by the “deep” Religious Right but by radio talking heads like Glen Beck or maybe The Rush. Those days when Rush does his shows in full drag as May West. “He’s a traitor!” Hot new tune that really has got some really good play by the radical Religious War Lords of Death by suicide bombers. Traitor are usually spoken by those are the one that are the traitors. Usually this tune is done is a lot of flag waving and hot dog eating and apple pie baking. Always spoken with clenched teeth and falsetto. I love the ole “deep” Religious Right show tunes they never seem to go out of date. A new tune that I never tire of is the “Swift-Boaters are a coming” I love it when they show no respect to men who have fought in wars. They are called Cowards and such. That tune usually a mix medley of tunes like “liars, sinners and theives.” The one that Rush loves is tunes from the “Magic Negro” with our three favorite guys Falwell, Beck and Gingrich, oh my. I now that the “deep” Religious Right has a diverse and rich past. They will be there to overstate, over embellish, over do, over worship and really show a good time.
WHEN IS A MORMON NOT A MORMON
May 12, 2007
I wish the problem with Mitt Romney was that he is a Mormon. That is not the problem. It’s not polygamy. It’s not all the other religious things that are Mormon. It’s Mitt Romney the man. I live in the midst of Mormons so I can judge a little better than those that don’t. You see Mormons don’t believe in abortion. So how come Mitt and his wife have be donating money to planned parenthood. How come he was O.K. with aborton. Mormons are against gays. How come Mitt was just until recently O.K. with gays. The Mormon Church is one of few churches that accepts gay members if they take a vow no to do any of those things that gays do. There is a thing called Reparative Therapy that gay must go through. Most of the movement to accept gays has come for the members of gay children or relatives. The LDS Church seems to be a little ahead of the curve in trying to understand the whole gay thing. All you people who think Mormons because of the religion are above problems that us non-Mormons have. You can forget that they are as dysfunctional as the rest of us. Back to Mitt Romney. I guess it’s O.K.for him to say that he no longer this or no longer that, but why. He is like the rest of the Republicans they are trying to morph into something that they are not. A kind a gold rush in search of the mythical Religious Right. A rush that make the candidates look like liars and hypocrites. Look at what the Religious Right did for George Bush. They took over the government like a invading army. I don’t think any of those guys running President would open the doors and let them run amuk. You think religion and government mix. It’s kind of like oil and blood. They are different courses and have different goals. I know that all the Republican Presidential want-to-bes have all kinds of consultants telling them what to do. Mr Romney needs to stop and use his head. Mr. Romney wants to succeed in becoming President he has to stop acting like he is something he is not. The only reason George Bush can’t make a complete sentences is he doesn’t believe in anything. People who have beliefs speak very clearly. Mitt Romney wants to be President then quit trying to be the Pope or Mr. Hinckley. Some time soon he is going to have to make a stand. If he is afraid of George Bush he might want to think about heading back to Massachusetts. He is going to have to stand up and fight. This is not the time to be “ The Good Mormon”. We don’t need the incredible invisible man or a empty $1.300 suit. George is going to leave you with some really horrible problems. It will be hard to follow his man. If he thinks the religious right is going to help he out, yeah, right after they stop looting the White House.
